Yuengling Traditional Lager, the flagship offering from America’s oldest brewery, Yuengling, poured a slightly cloudy honey hue into the glass, topped with a short lived white head. Muted hop pepper and grass were present in the nose.
Yuengling Traditional Lager opened with crisp apple and light spice, before settling into a mellow, creamed corn middle. The lager ended on a smooth finish.
There isn’t a lot going on with Yuengling Traditional Lager, but that’s sort of the point of an American lager. While far from a stellar beer, it stands above most mass-produced adjunct lagers.
