Carlsberg Premium Danish Lager

Too much going on this evening to tackle a big beer I can sit down an enjoy, so I grabbed a lighter (and smaller) quick pick from the other side of the pond...

Carlsberg Premium Danish Lager poured a slightly hazy, bubbling golden-flax into the glass with a bright white, loosely bubbled head that quickly dissipated.  The nose was a wheaty malt with slight herbal undertones.

Carlsberg had a slightly sweet, mineral-lime start that was lightly carbonated, but a baked sweetbread flavor quickly made an appearance and stayed a while.  Throughout, the lager was slightly sweet and somewhat frothy in the mouth.

Carlsberg Lager is middle of the road in every way, which isn't always a bad thing.  That said... I won't remember this beer a week from now, and, with so much great beer in the world, likely won't be recommending this unless the other options are Coors, Coors Lite, Bud, Bud Lite...
