Diamond Knot India Pale Ale IPA, a regular offering from Diamond Knot Brewing, poured a light gold into the glass, with no observable carbonation and a thin white head. The nose was especially fruity, with strong notes of flowers, passion fruit, pineapple, and mango.
Diamond Knot IPA opened with a tropical fruit bomb front and a touch of bitterness. Pineapple came through strong in the middle over a non-nondescript malty sweetness, and the ale faded smooth and floral.
Diamond Knot India Pale Ale is a good entry into the world of big flavored IPAs, with an almost Imperial-style depth of hop flavor without the high ABV or thick body.
