Mönchshof Schwarzbier Black Pilsner

Mönchshof Schwarzbier Black Pilsner poured the hue of brewed espresso with ruby highlights and was topped by an ashy, buff head.  The nose had soft, roasted notes,  some earthiness, and brown sugar.

Mönchshof Schwarzbier Black Pilsner opened surprisingly dry and nutty with light notes of yeast popping through.  The schwarzbier finished clean, with a slightly grainy mouth-feel and an extended oyster cracker linger.
